No. Daleel.com.au is not a Halal certifier. Our aim is to provide as much information as possible to allow each individual to decide whether a particular product or service is Halal according to their personal Islamic standards.

Daleel.com.au has taken great care to ensure the accuracy of the information provided on our site. However, we still urge everyone to make their own enquiries if they are unsure of the Halal status of any food or product listed on Daleel.com.au.

Does Daleel.com.au distinguish between hand slaughtered and machine slaughtered meat?

No. Daleel.com.au does not distinguish between hand slaughtered and machine slaughtered meat/chicken. Daleel.com.au is not a Halal certifier and have no means to validate such claims. We offer all Halal restaurants a field to select which of their meats are hand slaughtered. We have taken great care to ensure the accuracy of the information provided, but still urge everyone to make their own enquiries if they are unsure of the Halal status of any food or product.

How do you categorise Halal restaurants on Daleel.com.au?

Halal Restaurants are classified into three categories. They are either:

  • Halal Certified – Halal certified by an independent Halal agency.
  • Muslim owned and Halal Certified.
  • Muslim Owned – Owned and operated by a Muslim.

With Halal Restaurants, Daleel.com.au strongly advises all Muslims to be aware that there is a significant difference between a Halal Certified restaurant and a restaurant claiming to be Halal because it uses Halal products (meat, chicken, other Halal products).

The use of Halal products and to display a certificate from a Halal supplier of Halal products does NOT equate to a restaurant being Halal Certified.

Daleel.com.au strongly urges all Halal restaurants, whether Muslim owned or not, and all Halal butchers to obtain Halal Certification for their businesses.

Is Daleel.com.au only available for Muslim owned businesses?

No. Daleel.com.au accepts listings from any business that is able to provide a product or Muslim friendly service that meets the specific needs of the Muslim community. That could be anything from a Halal certified product to a female only gym.
